New Public Call for Proposals: Pirate Ship Mural

Public Art Opportunity: Mural for Pirate Ship

Jackson, WY | January 16, 2026 — Ahoy from Jackson Hole! Pirate Ship, the pirate-themed shipping company known for helping small businesses access low shipping rates, has announced a Request for Mural Proposals for a large-scale, public artwork in downtown Jackson Hole.

The mural will be installed on the east-facing exterior wall of Teton Mountaineering, directly across from the Pirate Ship offices. Highly visible and centrally located, the site is intended to become a recognizable landmark that reflects both Pirate Ship’s playful brand identity and the unique spirit of Jackson Hole.

Pirate Ship is seeking proposals for a bold, imaginative mural that captures the essence of Jackson Hole through a pirate-inspired lens. The artwork should creatively blend pirate lore and maritime symbolism with the rugged lifestyle, natural beauty, and iconic Teton Range that define the region.

Pirate Ship is a pirate themed shipping company dedicated to helping small businesses with discounted shipping rates and free software. Pirate Ship’s offices are designed with rich wood textures, nautical details, and immersive custom elements, the space features a real tiki bar, portholes, a secret library, and more—making you feel fully transported aboard a Pirate Ship.

The approximate size of the exterior mural is 30 x 80 feet painted on primed wood panels. Artists are encouraged to creatively utilize the space offered. The artist must use high-quality, professional-grade materials suitable for long-term outdoor installation on a wood paneled wall. Artists must submit a high-resolution digital file of the final mural design, which will also be used for printing utility box wraps associated with the project.

This opportunity is open to artists living in the United States.

Pirate Ship invites artists to bring bold ideas, adventurous storytelling, and a sense of discovery to this unique public art opportunity.
