FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR TETON COUNTY JUSTICE CENTER PUBLIC ART
PROJECT: Nationally Recognized Artists Selected to Advance in Competitive Public Art
Process for Civic Space
Jackson, WY | May 20th, 2026 — Jackson Hole Public Art and Teton County have announced
the three finalists selected for the Teton County Justice Center public art project: Ben Butler
Studio, John Grade Studio, and Franziska Agrawal Studio. The finalists were selected through a
competitive national Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process seeking artists whose work
reflects the values of fairness, dignity, balance, and community connection embedded within
the Justice Center. The call received over 120 applications.
Through this public art opportunity, the County and Jackson Hole Public Art aim to commission
artwork that contributes to a welcoming and thoughtful environment for all who enter the
building. Each artist brings a distinct approach to public art and civic engagement, offering the
potential to create meaningful and enduring artwork for the Justice Center.
Over the coming months, the selection committee will conduct finalist interviews and reference
checks before selecting the commissioned artist later this summer. Finalists will develop
site-responsive proposals informed by the architecture, mission, and public function of the
Justice Center.
More information about the project and RFQ can be found at Jackson Hole Public Art Justice
Center Call to Artists.
