GLOW NIGHTS 10th Anniversary with expanded locations
Glow Nights returns this winter with an open call for artists to create light-based and illuminated installations for temporary outdoor display in Jackson Hole. This year, three selected projects will be presented across three distinct locations: the National Museum of Wildlife Art, the Center for the Arts (CFA) Park, and Teton Village at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (TVA/JHMR). Each site offers a unique winter context, from cultural and civic spaces to an active alpine resort environment.
We are seeking bold, durable, and imaginative existing glow or light-up installations that respond to winter conditions and engage the public after dark. Selected works will be on view from mid-December through January and featured as part of the Glow Nights celebrations, inviting audiences to experience art through light, color, and atmosphere during the darkest months of the year.
All artwork must be able to withstand harsh weather conditions including below freezing temperatures, snow (1-2’ storm accumulations), high winds (60 MPH gusts), and freeze-thaw cycles. Artwork must be structurally sound and engineering drawings and electrical specifications will be required. Installations must be safe for unsupervised public interaction and children. Artwork must leave no permanent ground disturbance.
Please note that budgets, timelines and requirements are subject to change.
Eligibility: Global call for artists.
