Call For Submissions: 250 Portraits
250 Portraits invites Wyoming residents of all ages to create self-portraits using a limited color palette. The portraits will be displayed in five grids of fifty throughout downtown Jackson during the nation’s 250th anniversary year. The project highlights individual identity and collective belonging across Wyoming’s communities, supported by a self-guided walking map and opportunities for other towns to host their own installations (digital files and wheatpasting How-To provided by JHPA).
Eligibility and Guidelines
Media: Drawing, collage, painting, original print. No photography please.
Style: Color scheme of black, white, red, blue. Please feel free to utilize any of these colors as a background and utilize color as a means of expression throughout the portrait.
Size: 16x20 or 18x24.
Eligibility: Open to all Wyoming residents.
Submission Process: Please confirm participation via Google Form Link by March 20 2026
All portraits will be submitted as a digital file. Artists will be asked to scan or photograph their portraits for electronic submission. More information to follow.
